A video of Boston Dynamics' Atlas Robot completing a different tiny parkour course was just uploaded. But this time, the robot had grippers in the form of hands, or more accurately, claws.

Robots are interesting, especially those that resemble humans. The fact that they can genuinely act and move like humans makes them much more interesting. And if a humanoid robot is capable of feats of agility and acrobatics that more than half of people would never even dare attempt, that's just the icing on top of an already fantastic sundae.

In a recent video, Boston Dynamics' Atlas Robot is seen tackling a tiny building site as if it were a parkour course. The Atlas Robot could sprint and hop over difficult terrain up to this point because of its feet. The most recent demonstration demonstrates that the robot now has hands and can really pick up objects, throw them to someone else, and grab things.

The Atlas gets closer to people than it has ever been because it can pick up and drop down anything it can autonomously.
Grippers are the new hands that have been given to the Atlas. In the most current videos, the grippers can be shown picking up a nylon tool bag and creating boards. After that, the Atlas takes a plank and places it between two boxes to form a bridge.
The Atlas then takes a tool bag and charges through the scaffolding and across the bridge. The tool bag must, however, proceed to the building's second floor. Atlas immediately hurled the tool bag a good distance, as if he had foreseen this.
Boston Dynamics claims that Atlas' last manoeuvre, a particularly amazing flip, adds asymmetry to the robot's movement and making it far more difficult than previously attempted parkour.

The Atlas Robot's grippers are a fascinating addition. The claw-like gripper is made up of one fixed finger and one moveable finger.
Atlas by Boston Dynamic is still a research platform, hence nobody cannot buy it for any purpose. It has long played a significant role in a number of well-known movies and has effectively demonstrated Boston Dynamic's robotic capabilities.

Although a few competitors in the specialised field of humanoid robots have shown abilities substantially equivalent to those of the Atlas, they typically lagged Boston Dynamics by a generation or two. Tesla's TeslaBot and Xiaomi's CyberOne aren't even close to being as agile and flexible as the Atlas, which is the most prominent humanoid robot that could be accessible to the general public.
