Here are some of Awesome Games Done Quick 2023's world-record speedruns

                                          Awesome Games Done Quick 2023 ran from January 8 to January 15 and raised a total of $2,642,493 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation by the end of the event.

Over the course of the week, more than 140 speedruns were displayed, ranging from well-known games like Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Dark Souls II to less well-known games like Ax Battler on the Game Gear.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge saw a new record on January 9 when benjas4 and paulknives beat the co-op time of the game in 56 minutes and 18 seconds.

The next day, ImJhay finished Super Mario Galaxy 2 in 3 hours, 3 minutes, and 56 seconds, breaking the previous record for any% completion.

The unfinished prototype of Steven Seagal Is: The Final Option for the SNES was finished by Crak Atack in 18 minutes and 16 seconds on January 12.

Finally, on January 13, six players broke the world record on PowerWash Simulator by cleaning every vehicle in the game in 18 minutes and 29 seconds without the use of soap. The players were Amyrlinn, Bullets, Biglaw, Enigma Requiem, AngelicKnight, and Acadiel.

As the event's creator Mike Uyama said earlier this month, he would be departing the organisation for health reasons, this was also his last Games Done Quick for the foreseeable future.

The hashtag #ThankYouMike was used in a tweet on the Games Done Quick official Twitter account that was sent out following the event, along with the following message: "Thank you to everyone who made this marathon possible, and to all of you for your tremendous generosity and support."

Summer Games Done Quick 2023, which runs from May 28 to June 4, will be the following Games Done Quick event.
